NIKE OYELEYE | DIRECTOR
BSc Psychology, MSc Mental Health Studies, MBPsS
Nike developed Guided Recovery in 2017, due to witnessing the lack of adequate community support available to individuals with Eating Disorders and related concerns. She wanted to develop a support programme that stepped outside of the consulting rooms and focused on guiding and supporting individuals throughout their day to day lives whilst living with an Eating Disorder.
Nike is highly trained in supporting individuals with Eating Disorder and divides her time running Guided Recovery and also working as an Assistant Psychologist at South London and Maudsley NHS Eating Disorder Services. She has also worked in some of the leading and world renowned Inpatient Eating Disorder facilities including; Priory Group, Lifeworks, Gladstones Clinic London & Montrose Manor, Cape Town, South Africa.
Nike holds a BSc Psychology from University of Westminster, London and MSc Mental Health Studies from Queen Mary, University of London.
Nike has explored psychological research focusing on The Relationship Between Body Image Dissatisfaction and Eating Behaviours Amongst Mothers and Their Pre-Adolescent Children and The Effectiveness of Body Image Exposure Treatment in Eating Disorders.
